Shows. We've all done one. But have you done one where you start off rehearsals knowing hardly anyone, then by the end it's like your just one big family. Well that's what it was like when i did the High School Musical show on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th 2012. You get so close to people then when it's over it's like you never want to leave them.
Anyway back to that in a bit. High School Musical, when we were told we were going to put on this show i so exited. I've always wanted to be in a musical. Auditions came and i auditioned for Ryan although i got the part as Ripper (skater dude) and James (Jock). I was really happy with my port though as i got a solo part in Stick to the Status Quoe and although there wasn't much to say it was still a big part. When the whole cast got together we finally started being really good friends, i loved every second of it. There were groups made like the Vonderful group, TEAM JOLLY and many more and that was what what brought us all together. Of course there were ups and downs in rehearsals but when we started practicing the show on the stage with the live band, everything just fitted together perfectly. The show came and suddenly from that small shy group of people we started out as suddenly we were all exiting, confident and we could all be ourselves again without people telling us we looked weird (which we didn't). The first show we had a full house, everyone was raring to go and pumped up ready. When the lights went energy hit us and the audience was clapping and singing away to all the songs, we had fun and we could tell that they did too. When the performance had finished everyone ran into the school Gym screaming, shouting and hugging each other, we were so happy with ourselves. The second performance was to a Primary school.....tough crowd. Then the last night, it all came down to this as it was another full house. People were already crying before the show had started. We went on and did the best that we could. There was so much energy and i think the audience loved it. We put so much into that show and i think it all paid off as the audience was singing, clapping and dancing away to the songs. That was it after that, everyone ran screaming into the School Gym again and there were tears in the eyes of everyone. You could see that our friendship had become strong because we all missed those happy times that we'd spent together as one big cast. It was like leaving a loved one behind.
It was like a second family for each of us. It was one of the greatest moments in life for all of us.
I just want to say to the whole cast of Sir John Gleed High School Musical stage show, your all amazing and i never want to forget any of you. Words can't describe how amazing you all are and i couldn't have worked with anyone better than all of you. I love you all and i hope i see you all again and do even more shows with you. Your all amazing, Thank you....all of you! :)
